City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session <br />May 21, 2008 <br />City Administrator Larson requested that City Engineer Statz submit his letter, with the map, to <br />the Council by their next meeting. <br />Mayor Capra repeated that by June 11, City Engineer Statz would have the final proposal and <br />map. <br />City Engineer Statz stated that it would take a couple of months to put it out for bid. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers inquired as to what happens if we have a bid, and they don't <br />perform. <br />City Attorney Glaser replied that they would have a contractor is required to have a bid bond to <br />guarantee that they honor their bid and a performance bond to guarantee they fullfull the <br />contract. <br />Mayor Capra stated that they would still look for grants such as Farmers Home Administration <br />for people in this whole area who may qualify for any assistance. She stated that they need to <br />define the criteria. It is not aloan - it is a grant.
