<br />July 1, 2008 <br /> <br />Barbara & Michael Carter <br />6913 Sumac Court <br />Centerville, MN 55038 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. & Mr. Carter, <br /> <br />On May 18, 2008, your dog "Hunter" described as a yellow lab was able to crawl under <br />your fence and bite a juvenile female. (Centennial Lakes Police Department ICR #08- <br />111774) You are hereby notified pursuant to Centerville Ordinance 90.30 that your dog <br />has been designated a POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ANIMAL. <br /> <br />According to Centerville City Ordinance 90.30 an owner of a potentially dangerous <br />animal must be notified in writing. (90.30, C-l) If the owner of an animal elects to <br />appeal it shall be referred to the City Council for a hearing. (90.30, C-2) <br /> <br />If you do not wish to appeal this designation, you must fulfill the four requirements under <br />the Potentially Dangerous Dog ordinance within fourteen days. See attached <br />requirements. A Community Service Officer must be called to verify that you have <br />complied with the ordinance requirements before the fourteen day period or your dog <br />may be seized. <br /> <br />I have enclosed a copy of the Centerville Ordinance 90.30 thru 90.99 on Dangerous and <br />Potentially Dangerous Animals.
