<br />E-Mailed to Council on 5/3/0 I at II :34 a.m. <br />April 25. 2001 Council Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Wilharber, 6849 Centerville Road, stated the City has been dealing with the <br />property in question for a number of years and has consistently received the same excuses <br />as to why the property cannot be cleaned up. Mr. Wtlharber requested that Council <br />consider the residents living near the property who have put up with the conditions of the <br />property. Mr. Wilharber requested that Council not grant an extension. Mr. W1lharber <br />stated that in his opinion, the privacy fence currently being installed is not an answer to <br />the existing problem. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers clarified that Council had agreed, if progress was <br />made, to grant an extension until June I, 2001. Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />requested that Staff indicate that the drop-dead date for bringing the property into <br />compliance was June 1,2001 and no further extension would be granted. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seeonded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to extend the deadline to brine: tbe property into eompliance to June 1. 2001 <br />and indicate that no furtber extensions would be e:ranted. AU in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimoush:. <br /> <br />5. Thermal Heat Patches <br /> <br />Mr. March reported that Mr. Palzer is recommending that 150 heat patches be completed. <br />Mr. March stated that thermal patching has been very effective in the past. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to approve the Quote from Berman for 150 thermal beat patcbes. AU in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson questioned Mr. Palzer's recommendation for the services to be <br />provided by Berman when another firm was the lowest bidder. Council Member Travis <br />stated that the low bidder was providing crack filling services which was a totally <br />difference issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg questioned whether the road could be raised in the areas where the heat <br />patches would be installed. Mr. March stated that the asphalt is heated up and smoothed <br />out, but the existing grade is not changed. Mr. March stated that the heat patches would <br />be installed in several areas where the streets are deteriorating, however, these same areas <br />may also require overlay. <br /> <br />XII.
