Aves - 3. Navs - O. Abstain - l(Sweenev). Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she had read an email with concerns about the dance on <br />Friday. <br /> <br />Ms. Peil indicated there would be no beer sales under the tent for Friday night and said <br />the wagon would be locked down. She also noted that anyone drinking in the park will <br />have a wrist band. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member <br />Capra to approve Resolution #03-038 approvin!! the Lions to conduct bin!!o on <br />Au!!ust 1. and AUl!Ust 2 at LaMotte Park. Aves - 3. Navs - O. Abstain -l(Sweenev). <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. Block Party <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she received a request for a block party at 7306 Old Mill <br />Road and the request was to block several parking spaces along Old Mill Road in front of <br />7313 and 7319 for the party and mark them as no parking. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the police department reviewed the request but has said that <br />if the no parking signs are not approved by Council they cannot enforce it. <br /> <br />Kim Steffen indicated there is a graduation party a couple houses down and they want to <br />make sure that there is space for the block party and that is why they have asked that no <br />parking and cones be allowed from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that he had no issue with approving no parking in front of <br />those two residences. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer indicated that he has no parking signs that could be used. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Capra. seconded bv Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve no parkin!! for 7313 and 7319 Old Mill Road from 2:30 to 6:30 <br />as requested. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Laurie LaMotte Park Warming House Footings <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer suggested looking at a design for the renovation before spending money <br />investigating the footings. He then said that he did not feel that the building was set up to <br />handle a second story. <br /> <br />Page 8 of12 <br />
