Centerville City Council Meeting Minutes March 26, 2003 COlmcil Member Broussard Vickers amended her motion to request that the developer escrow fimds to cover the plans and specifications. COWlcil Member Capra accepted the amendment to the motion. COWlcil Member Lee indicated he would only feel comfortable with Scenario #2 provided that those residents that would be bypassed by the water are willing to take the risk that they may have to pay all the costs associated with obtaining water if their wells fail. Council Member Paar indicated that the record should note those that have said they are willing to accept the risk of not getting water at this time. VOTE: AU in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. Council recessed at 9:20 p.m COWlcil reconvened at 9:30 p.m YD. COUNCIL BUSINESS 1. Velide Reolacement Program COWlcil Member Broussard Vickers asked for better information from Staff with dollar figures and how that relates to the budget. Motion was made bv Council Member Broussard Vicken. seconded bv Council Caora to table for further information from Staff. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. 2. Tru-Green Chem Lawn Contract Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the cost for the contract would be $4,832. COWlcil Member Lee said he has noticed a lot of weeds at the parks and he is concerned that the City is not getting the service it is paying for. Motion was made bv Council Member Broussard Vicken and seconded bv Council Member Caora to aoorove the Tm-Green Chem Lawn contract orovided Staff obtain two other comoetitive bids and the mice is comoarable. Council Member Paar indicated he was advised by his attorney to abstain from comment and voting on the matter because he has a pending lawsuit with Chem Lawn. VOTE: Aves - 4. Navs - o.
