<br />Centerville City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 26, 2003 <br /> <br />COlmcil Member Broussard Vickers amended her motion to request that the developer <br />escrow fimds to cover the plans and specifications. COWlcil Member Capra accepted the <br />amendment to the motion. <br /> <br />COWlcil Member Lee indicated he would only feel comfortable with Scenario #2 <br />provided that those residents that would be bypassed by the water are willing to take the <br />risk that they may have to pay all the costs associated with obtaining water if their wells <br />fail. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that the record should note those that have said they are <br />willing to accept the risk of not getting water at this time. <br /> <br />VOTE: AU in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:20 p.m <br />COWlcil reconvened at 9:30 p.m <br /> <br />YD. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Velide Reolacement Program <br /> <br />COWlcil Member Broussard Vickers asked for better information from Staff with dollar <br />figures and how that relates to the budget. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Council Member Broussard Vicken. seconded bv Council <br />Caora to table for further information from Staff. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />2. Tru-Green Chem Lawn Contract <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the cost for the contract would be $4,832. <br /> <br />COWlcil Member Lee said he has noticed a lot of weeds at the parks and he is concerned <br />that the City is not getting the service it is paying for. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Council Member Broussard Vicken and seconded bv Council <br />Member Caora to aoorove the Tm-Green Chem Lawn contract orovided Staff <br />obtain two other comoetitive bids and the mice is comoarable. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated he was advised by his attorney to abstain from comment <br />and voting on the matter because he has a pending lawsuit with Chem Lawn. <br /> <br />VOTE: Aves - 4.
