<br />City Attorney Hoeft advised Ms. Moore-Sykes to prepare a draft resolution with the fine <br />amount blank for consideration at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she would like a resolution that lists the <br />fines generically for different types of violations. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated it would be fine to come up with a template for the <br />resolution but noted that the City is required to provide a fine by resolution for Tom <br />Thumb that is specific to them. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked Staff to poll surrounding cities to determine <br />what they charge for tobacco violations. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if tobacco falls under the authority of the Liquor Control Board <br />and, if so, whether they would have any information as to how to proceed with a first <br />offense. <br /> <br />6. Surface Water Mana~ement Plan (update) <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that Staff has done some more updating to the Surface Water <br />Management Pan and had received responses from Rice Creek Watershed District and the <br />Metropolitan Council which will be incorporated into the Plan. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she was working on the capital plan that goes out to 2006. <br /> <br />7. Goals and Obiectives - 2002 <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg indicated it was not his intent when he wrote the goals document that <br />Council would revisit it. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated she liked getting a report from the City Administrator <br />as to what has been completed and where the City is on its goals. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson commented that the checklist was intended to be a checklist for <br />builders to come to City Hall and have each item they need to do checked off and <br />initialed by Staff. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that the goals could be discussed at the <br />first work session meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson noted she intended to attend the Traffic Safety Management <br />meeting and asked that the meeting be posted. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated the meeting <br />would be posted. <br /> <br />Page 18 of24 <br />
