This letter serves to follow up on the tile drain discussions held on site at the time of inspection. The additional drain tile is acceptable in terms of the Rice Creek Watershed District permit. The necessary treatment for this site is contained within the main part of the raingarden. The swale exists to convey and treat overflow from this main raingarden in large rainfall events. The swale does need to be operating as the overflow path rather than the overland area where the drain tile was installed. This was discussed during the site meeting and the necessary adjustments were agreed upon. These items are part of RCWD standards and are enforceable under RCWD Rule (MS 103D).
