<br />Minutes of the 12 January 1966 Meeting <br /> <br />The Village Council of Centerville held their regular meeting in the <br />V.illage Hall on 12 January 1966. <br /> <br />Those present were: <br /> <br />~,-) <br /> <br />Ma,o~ Bryon <br />Councilman Dupre <br />Councilman Peterson <br />Councilman LaMotte <br />Treasurer Ruth Knabe <br />Clerk Happy <br /> <br />also present were: <br /> <br />Carroll Skiba <br />Francis Dreawves <br />Fran Burque <br />Joe LaCasse <br />Miss Bohonan <br /> <br />The minutes of the 30 December 1965 meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />It was agreed by all that the Police Department would have to stay <br />within-its budget. Mayor Bryon as Chief of Police will assume this <br />responsibility.. <br /> <br />The police squad car will be garaged at the Centerville garage for the <br />sum of $17.00 a month. <br /> <br />Miss Bohanon, an affiliate of "Blaine Life" was at the .meeting to see <br />if the Council would agree to have "Blaine Life" as the Village paper, <br />AfteT some discussion, all agreed to have this paper. <br /> <br />Mayor Bryon turned in Bob LaVassuerls$resignation as Constable. All <br />agreed to have Carroll Skiba fill the vacancy. <br /> <br />. It has been reported that the dog pong~"in Hugo is in poor _ condition. <br />Mayor Bryon had some bids from the pond in New Brighton. This matter was <br />put aside until the next meeting. <br /> <br />It was agreed by all to have a new time clock installed to regulate <br />the lights on the Village Hall. <br /> <br />or) <br /> <br />The Justice Court will be held in the new school as soon as possible; <br />and if it is permissible, to also hold the council meetings in the school. <br /> <br />- Councilman Dupre will start forming a c6mmittee to name the streets <br />in the Village.. <br /> <br />All agreed to the purchase of a new Village Manual. <br />
