<br />Minutes of the 8 December 1965 Meeting <br /> <br />The Village Council of Centerville held their regular meeting in the <br />Village Hall on 8 December 1965. <br /> <br />Those present were: <br /> <br />Mayor Burque <br />Councilman Dupre <br />Councilman Peterson <br />Councilman LaMotte <br />Treasurer Ruth Knabe <br />Clerk Happy <br /> <br />,) <br /> <br />also present were: <br /> <br />Bob LaMotte <br />Francis Dreawves <br />McNe i-I Bryon <br /> <br />The minutes{~of 'the 9 November 1965 meeting were read and accepted. <br /> <br />The newly electedofficia1s~.-McNeil Bryon, Ruthu .Knabe, John...Pete.r-son-, <br />and Francis Dreawves--all aS5e,a' to accept the pO$itions to w~ich they were <br />elected. Mike Morland will 'accept the J. P. duties, Bud Marcello will <br />acc'ept the Civil Defense .duties. <br /> <br />Bob LaMotte, Fire C~ief, was at the meeting to see what could lJe done <br />about purchasing a portable fan unit for the Fire Department. This will <br />be taken up at ahfuture date. <br /> <br />Ruth Knabe suggested that a certain amount of the income from the <br />Lino F-ire DepartJ;D.ent .contract be. set aside for the Fire Dep'artment. <br /> <br />Mayor Burque and Clerk Happy will go over the bi~ls to see which ones <br />should be sent to the Highway Department so the Village may .collect on the <br />flood damage from Spring of 1965. <br /> <br />Treasurer Ru~h Knabe reported the,Village balance to be $2,923.03. <br /> <br />The following bills were agreed upon to be paid: <br /> <br />r:) <br /> <br />The White Bear Press <br />LaValle Excavating <br />Rosa M.
