Those present were: ~J~ayor Burque Treasurer Ruth Knabe Cou~cilman LaMotte Councilman Peterson Councilman Dupre Clerk itappy ~ Also presen~ were: Carroll Skiba Jim. Lachowitzer Motion was made by Happy and seconded by Peterson to appoint Carroll Skiba B.nd Jim La.chowi tzer as Sp-ecial Police of the Villa.ge 6f Centerville. They were sworn in by Clerk Happy. P.~otion ,Tas made by LaMotte and seconded by Peterson to purchase three signs s.tating that the village is pa.troled. Motion was made by LaMotte and seconded by Peterson to extend the tile on D Street from DuFrane to Jim Kern, at the expense of the village. It was' agreed by' a.ll to have LaValle or a.nyone possible to do the villa.ge grading. ]liay.or Burque is to do the hiring. }JIotion -VTas made a.nd carried by all to adopt the form that. the Villa.ge of Hugo has dra.wn up concerning the road between the Villa.ge 6f Hugo and Centerville. \ Motion was made by Happy and seconded by LaMotte to pa.int the inside of the Village Hall. It vfas 'a.greed by a.ll to start having a.n extra. meeting a month. We will all meet on the s.econd 'and fourth Wednes'il.ay of each month for the time being. 11~otion vTas made and carried by all to gra.nt Cecil LaJ~otte permission to build a roa.d over the City of St. Paul pipe lines. It wa.s agreed by all to have a curfew of 9 :30 P.tT. or the same as Anoka Coun~ for it's law. We are tq look into codes that some villages have concerning new streets, and adopt one which is best suited to the Village ~f Centerville. ( John Peterson is to'contact the people owning the land next to the Village Hall. and .to see if a.t le.ast 50 feet of it can be purcha.sed. Treasurer Ruth l{n.abe reported the ba..lance to be $4664.09, and a.lso tha.t from nO'Vl on the price of labor and machine ha.s to be listed separately.
