Allmambers of Council wars <br />present - 7:JIayor Fran Bllrqus" Trustees Malvin Dupre, John P9tarson and Ceoil La Motta. <br />Clerk Fred La Londa aua Ruth Knabe Treasurer. Also present I\Cr. & Mrs. Bill Rehbein. <br /> <br />(~-\ <br /> <br />'. / <br /> <br />Minutes of meeting held Sept. 9th. 1964 Vlare read and approved after discussion of <br />unfinished business. Motion to approve by Ceoil La Motte seoonded by llelvin Dupre. <br />It was agreed that Mayor bBurque ,vas to sea Richard Schuh regarding his hauling of <br />several loads ot OrUSh9Q rock on washout on A. street between La Mottes & La Landes Hanes. <br />The oondition of the road trom the Pavilion to Louie Leroults was discussed. It ,vas <br />Deported as being gatting rough and in need of work. The county engineer reported <br />it is too late to aoarify the road until next spring at whioh time it will be done.. <br /> <br />The Liability insurance policy of the st. Paul Fire &:::Marine Co... iss.ued tllrough the <br />Hugo Bank was dfscussed. This polioy oover the Village of Cent~rvil1e against general <br />hazards but the ~oard felt that any liability polioy which'oovers the Village should <br />cover acoidants on the Village b.athing beach. Village attorney Jim l\~eyers inspecte.d <br />the polcicly an~ stated it was a broad polioy but made a suggestion that th.8 ooverage of <br />the policy be made broader by removal ot exclusion one as shown on poldcy. Before <br />final acoeptance ot poliay it was moved by Cecil La Motte seconded by Melvin Diprs.that <br />Mark Houle at the. Bank be oontaoted as to whether the incurance company wou~d1 oover <br />the Bathing Beaoh possibilities this caning spring. Clerk 1& Lande is to see the <br />Bank at Htlgo a.nd! discuss this coverage . with him. <br /> <br />l~ayor Fran Burque brought tlp about the need of a 12x20 oulvert in the drivaviay of the <br />new home on Peltier Drive. Moved by Cecil La Motte seconded by John Peterson that <br />a 12x20 culvert be ordered from. ~Vinnioks e.t F'orest Lake for im..rnedicate delivery. <br />All in favor and Clerk La Lande to order culvert from Winnicks at once. <br /> <br />Mr. (t. ~~rs. Bill Rellbain stated that the new eesidsnts in their subdivision would like <br />~vo street lights on their new street. They also said they had purohased a new <br />sign whowing the name of the street for installation at the intersection of Ruga Road. <br />The oouncil agreed that the street lights should be installed but suggested that the <br />new residents submit a pwtition signed by all of them requesting suoh street light-s.. <br />tlt\s soon as petition is received by Clark La londs he is to order the Northern St!!.tes.' <br />Power to install two liglits one on the present street and the other on. the New street <br />to be built and develpped. Moved by John -Pstarson and seconded by Melvin Dupre. <br />All in Favor. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />.,~. .~ ~iayor F~an Burqus brought up that he had been oontacted by the Attorney representing <br />..:" the ..Village ot Lexington that the Village of Centerville be a member with Villages of <br />. Cirole Pines. Lexington and Lino Lakes in having a IvIunioipal Court system in the four <br />Villages and doing away with the Justice or the Peace system as is now in use in the <br />four Villages. The !J~unicipal Court would be installed by January 1st 1965 the Judge <br />to be a practising attorney and to be elected in the eleotion to be held'l~ov. 3. 1964. <br />The Municipal Court expanses,- salary of Judge and-Clerk and costs of maintaining the <br />Court wherever established to be divided betwee.n the Villages and the fines assessed <br />by the Court to be returned to the Village where it originated. After disoussion of <br />the ~dvantages of this M~ioipal Court to Cen~ervilIe or disadvantages it was moved by, <br />Ceoil. La Motte saoonded by John Peterson tllat the request be tabled. .'11 in favor. <br /> <br />Motion by John Peterson seconded by Melvin Dupre that Clerk La Landa be authorized to <br />attend th9 stat.e Pollution Meeting on November 4th. 1964 in. St. Paul and report baok <br />results ot meeting to the Village Board. All in ravor. <br /> <br />}iotion by Melvin Dupre secondad by Ceoil La i.1otte the following bills be paid. <br />John R.
