<br />December 11, 1963 <br /> <br />r\ <br /> <br />The regular monthly meeting of the Village Council was ~eld on <br />December 11, 1963. Those present: Cecil. LaMotte, Councilman <br />Melvin Dupre, Councilman <br />Ruth Knabe, Treasurer <br />Gene Tracy, Justice of the Peace <br />John PetersoD, Councilman <br />Ted Bourquin, Clerk <br /> <br />Absent was: Francis Burque, Mayor <br /> <br />Cecil LaMotte Was acting Mayor for this meeting. Motion b7 Dupre and <br />seconded by Bourquin to accept the reading of the minutes 'of the last meeting. <br /> <br />It was brought before the Council by C1erk Bourquin that the 1963 Law stat'es <br />a minimum in regards to t~e Trustees and Mayor's salaries. <br /> <br />Motion by Peterson and seconded by Dupre' to change the salary tQ correspond <br />with 1;he Law in the State of Minnesota. (1) Motion, by LaMotte to change <br />the Tre'asurer's salary from 180 to 1160. (2) T.o change the Trustees sal8.17 <br />froll the' amG~t set forth by S,' each !tustee to, a fixed minimum of 1120. . <br />(3)' Motion by LaI10tte and second.ed by Peterson to change the Gle~ks salary <br />to a fixed miaimum of 1200, plus whatever expenses incurred for that <br />present year. ~ (4) Change the Mayor's salary to a minimum ot $180, corresponding ,. <br />with the 1963 ~w~ _ ' <br /> <br />A refund from John Peterson in the amolUlt of 835.42t'was received for the cost of <br />the extension ~f a-ditch on his property. <br /> <br />William Rehebin, Building Inspector, turned in a check in the amount of <br />144.50, for bUi1.ding permi~s. <br /> <br />A.letter from Anoka County states there is a State Law whereas, the Assessor <br />of the V~age cannot be elected to office.
