<br /> <br />tervi{{e <br />'Estafj(isfid 1857 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />1880 9.tainStreet, Centerville, 'M2V 55038 <br />651-42.9-3232 or <Fax:. 651-429-8629 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-0'4- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 17-23,2008 AS <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, September 17, 2008, marks the two hundred twenty-first <br />anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of <br />American by the Constitutional Convention; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this <br />magnificent document and its memorable anniversary; and to the patriotic <br />celebrations which will commemorate the occasion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each <br />year by the President of the United States of America designating September <br />17 through 23 as Constitution Week, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA THAT: <br /> <br />1. The City of Centerville proclaims the week of September 17 <br />through 23, 2007 as CONSTITUTION WEEK AND ask our <br />citizens to reaffirm the ideals of the Framers of the constitution had in <br />1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through <br />this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never <br />be regained. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~."'.~~d~ <br />CITY CLERK <br /> <br />
