<br /> <br />tervi{{e <br />'EstaEfisnea 1857 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RES. #08-O'u <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND ORDERING BIDS ON <br />IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br />1880 !Mai" Street, Ctmtervilk, !M!N 55038 <br />651-429-3232 or'FtV(651-429-8629 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Res. #08-015 and 08-016 adopted by the City Council on June 11, <br />2008, ordered the improvement and authorized preparation of plans and <br />specifications on 2009 Street Improvement project, more fully described as set <br />forth as paragraphs 1 through 18 of the attached Exhibit A. (Improvement <br />Description), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Engineer has presented plans and specifications for the making <br />of such improvemnt. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF, <br />CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />I) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) The City Administrator shall prepare and Cause to be inserted in the official paper <br />and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of <br />such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be <br />done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 <br />a.m. on October 29, 2008, at which time they will be publicly opened in the <br />council chambers of City Hall by the City Administrator and Engineer, will then <br />be tabulated, and will be considered by the council within 30 days of such <br />opening. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of <br />the bid will be given the opportunity to address the council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or <br />certified check payable to the clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council this 24th day of September, 2008. <br /> <br />'-1YJ ~ {/tiflQ / <br />.
