STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />FOR RESIDENT INPUT ON PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS OF CITY CODE <br />CHAPTERS 150-154 <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />Centerville, Minnesota will be meeting and considering resident input regarding proposed <br />City Code modifications to Chapters 150-154 on November 3, 2008 in City Hall Council <br />Chambers located at 1880 Main Street, Centerville, Minnesota 55038 commencing at <br />6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter. Some of the more significant changes are outlined as <br />follows: <br />1. 150.10 has been amended to adopt most recent version of the International Fire <br />Code. <br />2. 150.10 (D) is amended allow storage of flammable liquids only in I-1 and B-1 <br />zoning districts and must be at least 50 feet from a property line. <br />3. 150.30 C, 2 Sump Pump regulations are modified to provide rigid connections to <br />outside of building and providing for discharge into rear yards except by special <br />approval for another location. <br />4. 152.01 Included definitions for "Dynamic Sign," "Pylon Sign", and "Ground <br />Sign" which are regulated later in the draft. <br />5. Removed definitions of "Advertising Sign" and "Business Sign." Definitions <br />were not used in the text of the chapter. <br />6. In Section 152.15, General Regulations, language was inserted to regulate <br />billboards and regulations inserted to permit Dynamic Signs up to 20 square feet. <br />Also included were requirements on light intensity of lighted and dynamic signs. <br />7. Modifications were made to sections relating to political signs in conformity with <br />state law. <br />8. Section 152.16 was modified to allow sandwich boards without a permit, subject <br />to conditions. <br />9. Section 153.44 F. Clarifies that utilities must be placed underground in new <br />subdivisions. <br />10. Section 153.45 Provides for Manufactured Home Developments as Planned Unit <br />Developments (PUD) <br />11. Districts are being moved to follow definitions. Currently lot and building <br />requirements are divided by "Districts." Districts are now 154.100 -other sections <br />were renumbered accordingly. <br />12. 154.100 C 10 previously 154.035 C, 10 includes M-2 Mixed Use Neighborhood <br />Districts which was part of an earlier amending ordinance. <br />13. Section 154.113 changes related to manufactured homes. Provides that <br />manufactured home parks or districts can only be considered as Planned Unit <br />Development. Includes requirement for continuous perimeter footing and <br />foundation. Old section providing for manufactured home park districts was <br />deleted. <br />
