<br />Member <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 1-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 23, 1987 the City of Centerville (City) established a city development <br />district (Development District No.1) pursuant Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.124 through 469.134, to <br />promote development and redevelopment within an area of the City which had not been developed to its <br />full potential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to create tax increment financing plan (Plan) for TIF District No. 1-6 <br />pursuant Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174 through 469.179, as amended, to encourage the <br />redevelopment of a certain designated area in the city and authorize the expenditure of tax increment for <br />certain public improvements. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Centerville, Minnesota as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1 The Finance Director is authorized and directed to prepare the Plan for TIF District No. 1-6. <br /> <br />2 . The city council shall hold a public hearing on the Plan on August 24, 2005, starting at 6:30 p. <br />m. in the council chambers at city hall. <br /> <br />3 The Finance Director is authorized and directed to prepare a notice of the public hearing and <br />cause the notice to be published in the official newspaper at least 10 days prior to the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />4 The Finance Director is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of the Plan to the county and <br />school district with a notice of the time and place of the public hearing to be held before the city <br />council. . <br /> <br />5 The Finance Director is authorized and directed to take any and all other steps reasonably <br />necessary in order to accomplish these purposes. <br /> <br />Dated: Julv 13. 2005. <br /> <br />Mary Capra, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />And the following voted against same: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />31 <br />
