City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />September 2, 2008 <br />Variance Request - Mr. Hatem Qamhieh, 7251 Clearwater Drive <br />City Administrator Larson reported that Mr. Qamhieh withdrew his request for the <br />variance, stating that it was more of a variance than he initially thought it would be. City <br />Administrator Larson stated that, in the future, these variances should not be considered <br />unless they have a survey. He added that they need to specify what they need from a <br />resident's surveyor. <br />2. New Chair for the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Mosher to nominate <br />Commissioner D. Love as the Chair for the Planning and Zoning Commission. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />VII. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Au u.~ st 5, 2008, Planning and Zoning Meeting Minutes <br />Chair Love requested that the sixth paragraph under "VI. Discussion Items, Item 1 Code <br />Amendments" be changed to read, "Commissioner Love stated that they would not want to <br />limit businesses based on signage." <br />Motion by Commissioner Pangell, seconded by Commissioner Wood, to approve the <br />Minutes of August 5, 2008 as amended. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />VIII. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Pangell, to adiourn the <br />September 2, 2008, Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting at 8:15 p.m. All in <br />favor.
