<br />CONTRACT FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this _ day of ,2008 by and between the City of <br />Centerville, 1880 Main Street, Centerville, Minnesota 55038, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"Municipality", and Otter Lake Animal Care Center, 6848 Otter Lake Road, Hugo, Minnesota <br />55308, hereinafter referred to as "Otter Lake", regarding the provision of animal control services <br />in the City of Centerville. <br /> <br />The parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />I. TERM <br /> <br />The term of this contract shall be from December 1,2008 through December 1,2009. <br /> <br />II. BASIC SERVICES <br /> <br />Otter Lake agrees to provide the following services: <br /> <br />1. Shelter for animals on a 24-hour basis that are only received from the Centennial <br />Lakes Police Department and not the general public. <br />2. Pick up animals at sites and transport to the shelter building during normal <br />business hours, seven days per week upon the request of the appropriate <br />Municipal official, (Centennial Lakes Police Department). <br />3. Animal examinations and veterinary care as required whenever staff is available. <br />4. Boarding for up to seven (7) days. , <br />5. Euthanasia and disposal of animals if required. <br />6. Assist in handling animal abuse/neglect cases in cooperation with Municipal <br />officials when necessary. <br />7. Vaccinate all boarders with Bordatella upon arrival at $7.00 per cat or dog. <br />8. Collection of an at large fee (1st Violation - $25.00, 2nd Violation - $50.00 & 3rd <br />Violation - $75.00) when an animal is claimed by the owner. Otter Lake will <br />reimburse the Municipality the collected fee. * <br />9. Collection of a licensing fee for all Municipal unlicensed animals ($20.00 Intact, <br />$10.00 SpayedlNeutered Cats & Dogs) for a two (2) year licensing period 2008- <br />2009 when an animal is claimed by the owner. Otter Lake will be reimburse the <br />Municipality the collected fee and the owner will receive a tag upon their request. <br />If the owner does not request a tag, the Municipality will forward a tag to the <br />owner subsequent to receiving billing records Otter Lake. * <br /> <br />* - These fees are subject to change and Otter Lake will be notified <br />immediately upon Council Action. <br /> <br />III. COMPENSATION <br /> <br />1. The Municipality shall pay Otter Lake the following fees: <br /> <br />~--- <br />
