<br />November 10, 2008: <br /> <br />The Governing Board received a written statement on <br />October 17, 2008 regarding the Chief of Police. The <br />Written Statement does not relate to a specific instance <br />or instances of a charge, accusation or complaint against <br />that individual, such as a charge of discrimination or <br />something allegedly illegal, wrongful or any misconduct <br />on the part of that individual. <br /> <br />Instead, the information received by the Governing <br />Board raises the issue of his job performance. The <br />Governing Board working with the help of consultants <br />has been evaluating the department and is in the <br />process of developing clear expectations and <br />implementing a job performance evaluation for all <br />members of the Department. We have an expectation <br />that the management team will come together as we <br />implement this system. The Board accepts the written <br />statement as a part of this job performance review. <br /> <br />j/ <br />
