CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING <br />December 12, 2007 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their scheduled Truth and <br />Taxation Public Hearing on December 12, 2007, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Mary Capra <br />Council Member Linda Broussard <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso „ n~ ~ <br />Council Member Jeff Paar ~~\~J/ / <br />Q ~ ~ <br />ABSENT: Council Member Tom Lee <br />City Administrator Dallas Larson <br />STAFF: Finance Director John Meyer <br />City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br />City Engineer Mark Statz <br />L CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Capra called the December 12, 2007, Truth in Taxation meeting to order at 6:32 <br />p.m. <br />IL PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Truth and Taxation <br />Mayor Capra opened the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing at 6:33 p.m. <br />Finance Director Meyer presented information on the 2008 General Fund Budget and Tax <br />Levy. He indicated the 2008 General Fund Budget and Tax Levy is scheduled for <br />adoption at the December 26, 2008 City Council meeting. <br />Mayor Capra stated that 45% of the budget is spent on Police and Fire. <br />Finance Director Meyer replied that was correct. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to close <br />the December 12, 2007 Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Capra closed Truth in Taxation Public Hearing at 6:40 p.m. <br />
