They have been forwarded on to <br />Officer/Detective Blanc for background checks. Chief Makela is out of the office on <br />vacation next week. <br /> <br />Staff would like to suggest adding language to Ordinance 13, Section 13, E: clarifying <br />delinquent property taxes and utilities (garbage, sewer & water) whether it is on all <br />property within the City owned by the (president, CEO, Partner(s), Corporation, etc.) or <br />just on the property that the establishment is being operated on. Staff would also like to <br />suggest adding language to clarifying that it does or does not matter whether there is a <br />lease/rental agreement for said establishment, same needs to be paid prior to receiving <br />Council consideration for application. <br /> <br />Staff would recommend approval of the following applications subject to successful <br />background check completed by Chief Makela: <br /> <br />. Center Mart <br />. Centerville Liquor <br />. Comer Express <br />. Wiseguys Pizza <br /> <br />Tobacco <br />Off Sale & Tobacco <br />Tobacco <br />On Sale, Sunday & Tobacco <br /> <br />Staff would recommend tabling until such time as the referred to documentation and <br />payments are verified or approving them subject to successful background check, <br />payment of outstanding (property TaxesfUtilities) and submission of proof of insurance: <br /> <br />. Kelly's Komer <br /> <br />Staff would also like to make Council aware that letters for renewal were forwarded to <br />establishments on October 5, 2005, they were all given until October 31, 2005 to <br />complete the forms, provide the information, and make payment to the City. Three (3) <br />establishments complied and three (3) were past the deadline. Two (2) received reminder <br />telephone calls. <br /> <br />~D <br />
