<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 24, 2008 <br /> <br />notified the City's Met Council representative of our application. The <br />decision on these funds will be made by Met Council on December 10, 2008. <br /> <br />b. Downtown LightinglBusiness Promotion <br /> <br />Mayor Capra updated the council on the ribbon cutting ceremony and <br />business promotion scheduled for December 9, 2008 at 6:00PM in the <br />downtown. Newspaper Ads have been placed in several local papers <br />promoting this event and invitation are scheduled to go out by Wednesday of <br />this week. <br /> <br />c. Citizen Corps Council <br /> <br />Mayor Capra provided an update on her attendance at the Minnesota State <br />Citizen Corps Council conference held at the University of Minnesota. She <br />also stated she has provided a presentation to the City of Lexington last week <br />Thursday and will be presenting it to the City of Circle Pines tomorrow <br />evening. She has received by~laws for a Citizen Corps Council, she and Mr. <br />Larson will be working on them for presentation to the Council in January of <br />2009. <br /> <br />d. CSAH 14 Update <br /> <br />Engineer Statz provided an update and stated the road work is for the most <br />part completed for this construction season. He requested that if any residents <br />have outstanding issues with the project, they should contact City Hall as soon <br />as possible. The start of the 2009 construction season will begin following the <br />removal of the spring weight restrictions. <br /> <br />The work on the City 2009 Street Project if approved, would begin around the <br />same time as the completion of the CSAH 14 road work, but some pond <br />dredging may occur over the winter months. <br /> <br />x.
