CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />October 7, 2008 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission held its regularly <br />scheduled meeting on October 7, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Chair D. Love <br />Commissioner Ben Fehrenbacher <br />Commissioner Roland Parucci ~ ~ <br />Commissioners Mark Pangell <br />Commissioner Thomas Wood ~ O <br />Commissioner Darrin Mosher ~ ~ <br />ABSENT: None <br />COUNCIL: Council Member Broussard was absent <br />STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson <br />L CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Love called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />1. Roll Call <br />II. APPEARANCES/PRESENTATION(S) <br />Brendon Slotterback-regarding Comprehensive Plan. Brendon Slotterback of <br />Bonestroo & Associates was present to discuss the city's Comprehensive Plan update. He <br />indicated that the review period for neighboring jurisdictions expires on October 9, 2008. <br />He reviewed the comments received thus far from Anoka County, Lino Lakes and Met <br />Council. Comments received have been minor and responses given to each jurisdiction. <br />Hugo sent a letter indicating "no comment." <br />Slotterback reviewed the process to finalize the plan. The Commission could either hold a <br />hearing and then recommend the plan for adoption or recommend preliminary approval of <br />the plan with the understanding that a public hearing would be held after Met Council <br />completes its formal review, and prior to final adoption by the City. Since there had <br />already been public open house/input opportunities, the consensus was to recommend the <br />plan for preliminary adoption with the public hearing to follow Met Council formal <br />review. <br />Motion by Commissioner Parucci, seconded by Commissioner Wood, to recommend <br />that the Council give preliminary approval of the plan with the understanding that a <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
