Fax: 763-398-3088 <br />www.ricecreek.org <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Larson, <br /> <br />The Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) is once again seeking applications for our Citizen <br />Advisory Committee and we are asking the communities within our district for their help. <br />RCWD is eager to work with the citizens and government bodies in the Rice Creek drainage <br />toward a more comprehensive and integrated water resource management paradigm. To <br />that end, we are asking your assistance to spread the word. <br /> <br />The Rice Creek Watershed District board appoints Advisory Committee members for one- <br />year terms. Our Advisory Committee currently meets once a month, the first Wednesday, at <br />5:00 p.m. in our Blaine office. The purpose of the citizen Advisory Committee is to advise and <br />assist the managers on all matters affecting the interests of the watershed district and make <br />recommendations to the managers on all contemplated projects and improvements in the <br />watershed district. Members are also asked to keep current on water-related issues in their <br />community and relay this information to the board and staff. <br /> <br />We would appreciate any thoughts you might have or knowledge of individuals who could <br />serve on the Advisory Committee for the District. For anyone seeking more information or <br />who would like to request an appiication to serve on the Citizen Advisory Committee they <br />can contact the Rice Creek Watershed District Office at (763) 398-3070. We intend to make <br />our 2009 appointments our Citizen Advisory Committee in February 2009 so we are asking <br />that application be turned into the District by January 30, 2009.
