<br />WHEREAS, the NIMS standardized procedures for managing personnel, communications, <br />facilities, arid resources will improve the ability, of Centerville to utilize federal funding to <br />enhance local and state agency readiness, maintain first responder safety, and streamline <br />incident management processes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Incident Command System components of the NIMS are already an <br />integral part of various incident management activities throughout Centerville, including <br />current emergency management training programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks (9-11 Commission) <br />recommended adoption of a standardized Incident Command System; arid <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Centerville does hereby establish the <br />National Incident Management System (NIMS) as the City of Centerville standard for <br />incident management. <br /> <br />Adopted this..ld!:.... day of October, 2005. <br /> <br />~1/J I? <br />f ((Lu..~ ( ~;;fra.-<, <br />Mary Capr Mayo <br /> <br />(At-t~~t=--~::;J.k1~/1--- <br />Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
