City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />December 10, 2008 <br />Motion by Councilmember Lee, seconded by Councilmember Broussard-Vickers, to <br />approve Centerville being included in the Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement <br />Joint Powers Agreement. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />15. Authorization to Engage Abdo, Eick & Meyers to Provide 2008 Auditing Services <br />Conversation ensued. <br />Motion by Councilmember Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Councilmember Lee to <br />approve the Engagement Letter for Abdo, Eick, & Meyers to Provide 2008 Auditing <br />Services, subiect a 5% Concession on the Proposed Fee in the September 2008 Offer <br />of Services Letter. Motion carried (4/1). Mayor Capra opposed. <br />X. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />City Administrator, Dallas Larson <br />a. Downtown Li~htin~Business Promotion (Ubdate <br />City Administrator Larson reported that there was a good turnout for the <br />Downtown Lighting Ceremony the previous night. After the Ceremony, citizens <br />went to the City Hall for refreshments. He stated that, overall, this was a good <br />promotion. <br />Mayor Capra stated that three Centerville residents won a Cougar cash prize. She <br />stated that businesses were pleased with the events. <br />Mayor Capra stated that she would like to thank City Clerk, Teresa Bender, and the <br />City Staff. <br />b. Goal Setting Session (Update <br />City Administrator Larson recommended that this Goal Setting Session be put on <br />the schedule for February 2009. <br />Mayor Capra requested that the Council members consider this and bring suggested <br />dates to the Council Meeting at the end of the month. <br />c. Upcomin.~ Dates <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City Council received a handout, showing <br />dates for upcoming City meetings and events. One of the dates for a City Council <br />Meeting is on Veterans Day, so it was suggested that that City Council Meeting be <br />rescheduled. He stated that the meeting on May 11, 2009, should be moved to May <br />10, 2009. <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />
