<br />107 <br /> <br />(H) Fire hazards. Any activity involving the use or storage of flammable or explosive materials <br />shall be protected by adequate fire-fighting and fire prevention equipment and by safety devices as are <br />normally used in the handling of these materials. These hazards shall be kept removed from adjacent <br />activities to a distance which is compatible with the potential danger involved. <br /> <br />(I) Air pollution. Every activity shall conform to state regulations relating to air quality standards <br />and air pollution control. <br /> <br />(J) Radioactivity or electrical disturbance. No activity shall emit dangerous radioactivity at any <br />point or any electrical disturbance adversely affecting the operation of any equipment at any point other <br />than that of the creator of the disturbance. <br /> <br />(K) Explosives. Any activity or operation requmng the use, storage or manufacturing of <br />explosives shall be located no closer than 500 feet from any residence; provided further that the <br />location of the activity or operation is such that damage from explosion, including flying debris, <br />vibration or smoke, is limited to the site on which the activity or operation is permitted. <br /> <br />(L) Bulk storage. The storage of all bulk liquids, fuels, chemicals and gases shall be in <br />compliance with and regulated by Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Rules, Minnesota State Fire <br />Marshal Rules and the Minnesota Building Code. <br /> <br />(M) Outside storage. All products, materials and equipment, except as specifically provided in this <br />chapter, shall be stored within permitted structures, except for the following: <br /> <br />(I) Residential districts._ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _1- - <br /> <br />(a) Agricultural products, equipment and appurtenances owned by the owner of the <br />property and used on the property on which they are kept; <br />(b) All licensed and operational motor vehicles shall be parked on the permitted <br />driveway area. Any unlicensed, nonoperational vehicles must be stored in an enclosed structure; <br /> <br />( c) A maximum of two of the following units may be stored outside of a structure for <br />more than 48 hours on any residential parcel, provided they are stored on the permitted driveway area <br />outside of the road right-of-way or are in a side or rear yard. A licensed motor home or fifth-wheel <br />trailer is allowed in a side or rear yard. None of the following items may have an overall length from <br />front to back in excess of35 feet: <br /> <br />l. Boat; <br />2. Camper; <br />3. Motor home; <br />4.
