<br />All single-family detached dwellings shall be constructed according to the following minimum <br />standards: <br /> <br />(A) All dwellings shall have a minimum width of 24 feet at the narrowest point, with the <br />exception of the M-l....M:ll!fi_~i)~-M Pl~~i~t~;_ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ __ - -{ DeIetecI: District <br /> <br />(B) Metal siding, with exposed panels exceeding 12 inches in width, shall not be permitted; <br /> <br />(C) All newly constructed single-family detached dwellings shall have attached garages. Garages <br />may not be converted to habitable space without replacing the required garage; <br /> <br />(D) Single-family dwellings other than approved earth sheltered homes shall have at least a 3/12 <br />roof pitch and shall be covered with an approved roofmg material; and <br /> <br />(E) All single-family dwellings shall have roof overhangs which extend a minimum of one foot <br />from all the walls of the structure. <br />Cross-reference: <br />See parking requirements of this chapter <br /> <br />~ 154L~~~r!l~YJJ~J;.!-!~~~_~~!l_~lJ!~~J'J!1!~~._ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ - -{ Deleted: 019 <br /> <br />(A) The use and occupancy of a tent, recreation vehicle or other temporary dwellings for the <br />purpose of living quarters is not permitted in the city, except as approved by the City Council under <br />special circumstances. <br /> <br />(B) Applications for temporary dwellings shall be made in writing to the Administrator and it <br />shall be the Administrator's duty to submit the application to the City Council at the next regular <br />meeting thereof. The City Council in its discretion shall grant or deny the permit and may require, as a <br />condition to the granting of the permit or any renewal permit, that the applicant appear in person before <br />the City Council and be examined as to his or her plans for a permanent dwelling and other matters <br />relative thereto. Permits shall in no event be granted for a period in excess of 90 days. At the <br />expiration of the 90-day period, the owner or occupant of any trailer so placed upon the premises in <br />accord with this section shall immediately remove the same, unless prior to the expiration of the 90-day <br />period, the owner or occupant shall obtain from the City Council a renewal permit. Application <br />therefor may be made to the Administrator as in the case of original permits, and must be submitted to <br />the City Council prior to the expiration of the original 90-day period. One renewal permit may be <br />granted upon good cause shown, but in no event shall a renewal permit be granted for a period in <br />excess of 90 days and not more than one renewal permit shall be granted. <br />(Ord. 25, passed 10-13-1976) <br /> <br />(C) Temporary structures and trailers used in conjunction with construction work shall be <br />permitted only during the period that the construction work is in progress.
