<br />2009 STREET PROJECT PUBLIC HEARING
<br />RESCHEDULED
<br />The 2009 Street Project Public Hearing scheduled for January 7,
<br />2009 has been rescheduled to January 21, 2009 at St. Gene-
<br />vieve's Community Parish, commencing at 6:30 p.m. The City
<br />apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
<br />Please do not deposit snow from your driveways or
<br />sidewalks back onto the roadways.

<br />The City of Centerville Public Works Department would like to
<br />request that residents place their garbage cans at the end of
<br />their driveway and not in the street if new fallen y_ .

<br />community on a daily basis. Please clear the sidewalk
<br />(s) abuttingladjacent to your property within 24 hours of
<br />snowfall, ice deposit or debris. City Code, Chapter 93
<br />also addresses City abatement and reimbursement if the prop-
<br />erty owner fails to comply and the City exercises its right to
<br />abate on behalf of the property owner.

<br />FREE PARKING PERMIT(S)
<br />Did you know that parking on the streets between the hours
<br />of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. is prohibited? Did you know that
<br />Centerville's parking permits are free? "~

<br />If you anticipate that you will have overnight guest(s) or your
<br />own vehicle will be temporarily parked on the street, please
<br />contact City Hall and we will be happy to provide you with a free
<br />parking permit. Please be prepared to provide license plate #, year,
<br />make, model and color of the vehicle that will be parked on the street
<br />overnight.
<br />UTILITY BILLING RATE INCREASE
<br />The 2009 first quarter billing will contain a 5% increase in the user
<br />rate--the first rate change in several years. Business and institu-
<br />tional customers will notice a change in the drainage fee. The drain-
<br />agefee will be calculated upon the amount of impervious land area of
<br />the parcel the business owns and operates on. All users in the City
<br />will be charged a water administrative charge, since all properties
<br />benefit from the proximity to the municipal water system. This was
<br />previously charged only if you were connected to the municipal water
<br />system.
<br />FREE ANNUAL SNOW DAY AT WARGO NATURE CENTER
<br />The Lino Lakes, Blaine & Anoka County Parks & Recreation Depart-
<br />ments are hosting their 10t" ANNUAL SNOW DAY from 1 to 4 p.m.
<br />Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Wargo Nature Center, 7701 Main Street
<br />in Lino Lakes. Family activities include ice fishing, cross country skiing,
<br />snowshoeing, Norwegian kicksledding, ski-joring and more. For infor-

<br />CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

<br />MORE THAN 40 KILOMETERS of cross country skiing at
<br />four different area parks; Bunker Hills Regional Park, Cho-
<br />monix Golf Course, Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park and Run River
<br />Central Regional Park. Daily Ski Passes can be purchased for $5 at

<br />PARK PASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2009
<br />Park Passes are now available for purchase at all Anoka County
<br />License Centers. The passes allow entry into all County and Re-
<br />gionalparks inAnoka County, as well as those within the Carver and
<br />Washington County systems. An annual pass is good for 12 months
<br />from the date of purchase and costs $25 for the first vehicle and $15
<br />each additional vehicle. Daily passes are $5 per vehicle. In addition
<br />to license centers, annual passes may be purchased at Bunker Hills
<br />Activity Center in Andover, Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center in Coon
<br />Rapids, and the Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes.

<br />,~a~~ The City's Parks & Recreation Committee is currently
<br />.~ F ~~; `scheduling an 8K15 mile run or walk as part of the City's
<br />~~"~ annual Fete des Lacs celebration scheduled for August 7,
<br />`` ~ 8 and 9, 2009. The runlwalk will take place on August 8
<br />,~
<br />commencing at 8:00 a.m. Athletes of all ages and fitness
<br />levels are encouraged to participate. The runlwalk will take place
<br />around picturesque Centerville Lake. You can register or obtain more
<br />information by visiting www.needtorace.com or
<br />www.midwestevents.com. Registration for the event is $20.00; how-
<br />ever, both sites will be offering registration with an early-bird discount
<br />of $5.00 until June 6, 2009. Registrations received after June 6, 2009
<br />but prior to August 7, 2009 will be $20.00 and same day registration
<br />will be $25.00 on site. On-line registration may include a minimal
<br />registration processing fee. All registrants will receive a finishers
