<br /> <br />tervi{{e <br /> <br />Tsta611s/ic,{ 1857 <br /> <br />1880~ctinStreet, Centervilk, :M!N550J8 <br />651-429-3232or<FtV(651-429-8629 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RES. #09 - 002 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ON <br />IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and <br />heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the 2009 Street <br />Improvement as more fully described on the attached Exhibit C. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />CENTERVILLE,MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is <br />hereby adopted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and <br />each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the improvement in the <br />amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br />2. Individual parcel assessment of $2,000 or greater shall be payable in annual installm~ <br />extending over a period of 15 years, assessments less than $2,000 shall be payable in <br />installments extending over a period of ten years. The first installment of such assessments shall <br />be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 2010 and shall bear interest at the rate of <br />5.5 percent per annum from October 1, 2009. Each installment shall include interest to <br />December 31, of the year of collection. <br /> <br />3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole or part of the assessment on such property with <br />interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Administrator, except that no interest shall be <br />charged on any amount paid within 30 days of the adoption of this resolution and until October <br />1, 2009; and he may at any time thereafter, pay to the Administrator the entire amount of the <br />assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such <br />payment is made. Such payment must be made before November 15 or interest will be charged <br />to December 31 of the next succeeding year. <br /> <br />4. The Administrator shall file the assessment rolls pertaining to this assessment in the office of <br />the county auditor, such that installments of principal and interest will be collected as due with <br />taxes on each parcel ofland included in the assessment roll. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council this 21 sl day of January, 2009. <br /> <br />;;!!2~~ <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />~~x{~~_ <br /> <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br /> <br />" <br />
