<br />I--~-- <br /> <br />.Pla <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council Memben <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Kim Stephan <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />February 6, 2009 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Centennial Lakes Little League Request for Use ofBaU Fields for 2009 Season <br /> <br />Included in the Parks & Recreation Committee's packet for December 2008 was a request from <br />Centennial Lakes Little League to use the ball fields at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park for 2009. <br />Before making a recommendation to City Council the Parks & Recreation Committee wanted to know <br />exactly what 'the same service provided by Public Works Staffin regards to grooming the fields prior <br />to games' involves. Ms. Stephan requested information from Public Works. <br /> <br />Per Mr. Tedd Petenon, Public Works: <br /> <br />As a staff we were directed to groom the ball fields Monday through Thursday. Grooming the ball <br />fields took about an hour a day. Just a note, Centennial Little League purchased a new groomer for <br />the City in the spring of2008. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Vu:e-Chairpel'Son Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member Branch to <br />recommend City Council approve the request from Centennial Lakes Little League to use the three <br />baseball and softballfrelds andfaciJities located at Laurie LaMotte Memorilll Park for the summer <br />months of 2009 beginning April 1 through August 15, 2008, Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. <br />until dark with the same service provided by Public Works Staff in regards to grooming the fields <br />Monday through Thul'Sday.
