<br />Centerville City CouncillPublic Hearing Meeting Minutes <br />January 21, 2009 <br /> <br />Joe Meath. 7246 Mill Road <br />Ms. Meath asked if the Council has confidence in the engineer. Asked of traffic during <br />construction will be kept off Mill Road, so it doesn't fail prematurely. <br /> <br />Laura Powers. 7173 Brian Drive <br />Ms. Powers stated that she doesn't believe that her property will increase in value due to <br />the street improvement. <br /> <br />Joe Georgi. 1926 nod Street <br />Mr. Georgi stated that he doesn't believe that his property will increase in value due the <br />improvement. He doesn't think that interest should accrue until the project is complete. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the proposed resolution that has been presented to <br />Council would allow the special assessments to be paid until October 1,2009, without <br />interest. <br /> <br />Julie Reiman. 7174 Brian Drive <br />Ms. Reiman stated that she doesn't believe her property will increase in value by the <br />amount of the proposed assessment. <br /> <br />Terry Elkin. 1701 Peltier Lake Drve <br />Mr. Elkin stated that his street would be sufficient with an overlay and doesn't need <br />reconstruction. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra announced that the meeting would be recessed in order to allow anyone <br />who wished to do so to prepare and file a written objection. Meeting recessed at *:)05 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Meeting Reconvened at 8:20 p.m. <br /> <br />After evervone who wished to do so had been dven an opportunity to speak with <br />regard to the proposed assessment. a motion was made by Council member Paar <br />that the hearin!!: be closed. The motion was seconded by Council member <br />Broussard-Vickers. Mayor Capra made a fmal call for anvone who wished to file an <br />objeetion to their ProDosed sDeeial assessment. All in favor. Motion Dassed <br />unanimouslY. <br /> <br />For the record a list of written objections filed prior to the close of the hearing is attached. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser made some closing comments to the public and to the council. He <br />indicated that he will be calling those who objected to review the process for appeals and <br />do discuss their issues. He indicated that anyone who wished to present additional <br />information that hasn't been received or considered would be scheduled for a time with <br />the City Council on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, to afford that opportunity.
