<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held a special meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 16, 1992 at the City Hall. The purpose of the meeting <br />was to discuss the first half of the bids for the municipal <br />building. Mayor Buckbee called the meeting to order 6~15 p.m. <br />Present~ Burgstahler, Dario, Pelton, Wilharber. <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler noted that approximately $10,000.00 <br />worth of construction for the pump house was not planned or <br />provided for in the original plan. He noted that there is no <br />question that it needs to be in and it will have to come out of <br />the water budget. He noted he did not feel that what is spent on <br />the pump house should influence the rest of the municipal <br />building. <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Wilharber to accept the <br />recommendations of Gilbert Construction for all bid items, except <br />for the overhead door, fire coiling door and hollow door; the <br />City Attorney shall be consulted regarding possible omission of <br />fire coiling and overhead doors; the City Council encourages the <br />Contractor, Gilbert Construction, to continue to do value <br />engineering to save money, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Council considered the installation of galvanized door. <br />The issue appeared to be that of a maintenance. <br /> <br />The Clerk/Administrator <br />maintenance requirements <br />low maintenance areas. <br /> <br />suggested galvanizing doors, with high <br />and sticking to the standard door for <br /> <br />Motion by <br />installation <br />room, other <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Pelton, second by Wilharber to authorize the <br />of a galvanized steel exterior door on the chlorine <br />doors shall be hollow doors, motion carried <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee encouraged Gilbert Construction to respond to the <br />City Council as soon as possible with the cost of items which did <br />not receive bids with regard to public advertisement. <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Burgstahler to adjourn the meeting, <br />motion carried unanimously.
