<br />page two - City Council <br />meeting minutes <br />January 12, 1983 <br /> <br />AUDITOR: George M. Hansen Company <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE: Floyd Kruger, Chairman; <br />Lloyd Welk, Marc Rivard, Leon L'Allier, liaison <br />ACTING MAYOR: Motion by Wilharber, second by Savela <br />to appoint Leon L'Allier acting mayor, motion carried. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING: Planning and Zoning members had met <br />on January 4th and appointed Bob LaMotte; Chairman for <br />1983. The following persons were recommended for service <br />on P & Z: Dan Tourville, Michael Ayers and Walter Prachar. <br />Council approved new members on P & Z, committee will now <br />consist of Robert LaMotte, Chairman; Mel Dupre, Elmer Murray, <br />Bob Lindgren, Kathy Welk, Michael Ayers, Dan Tourville and <br />Walter Prachar. <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Baumann to approve the <br />above named designations for 1983, motion carried. <br /> <br />Council discussed the condition of the city tractor. Ken <br />Carpenter has offered to look at it and fix it, if possible <br />at no charge. <br /> <br />Messrs. Savela and Wilharber reported on the meeting attended <br />with Lino Lakes, Circle Pines and Lexington concerning <br />joint fire protection. Meetings will be rotated at city <br />hall chambers. Motion by Baumann, second by Zimny to <br />appoint Des Englund) Tom Wilharber and Chuck Baumann. <br />representatives for Centerville with Gary Savela and <br />Jerry Sundberg as alternates. <br /> <br />Mr. L'Allier reported on the meeting held Monday afternoon, <br />January 10 concerning a proposed mobile home park in Center- <br />ville. P & Z will be reviewing plans at their February 1st <br />meeting. Public Hearing will be scheduled when requirements <br />met. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber to adjourn meeting, <br />motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM. <br /> <br />Mayor Savela called the public hearing to order on the <br />proposed CABLE TV proposal. The clerk read the notice <br />of public hearing. Ted Gonsior was in attendance and gave <br />brief resume of progress on the proposal. Motion by <br />L'Allier, second by Zimny to close public hearing, motion <br />carried. Hearing closed at 8:48 PM. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber to reconvene regular <br />meeting, motion carried.
