<br />~ <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br /> <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednes- <br />day, March 23, 1983 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Present: Baumann, L'Allier, <br />Wilharber and Zimny. Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber <br />to approve minutes of March 9, 1983 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS, Complaints on condition of Center <br />Street and Mill Road and discussion on what is to be done, <br />article in Circulating Pines of March 17 with regard to <br />errors in article on March 9th city council meeting and <br />correction which is to appear in March 24th issue, street <br />lights that are burning during the day, broken glass on the <br />last cuI du sac in Center Oaks and McBride house at 1759 <br />Peltier Lake Drive not completely sided as yet. <br /> <br />Contract with MAPSI for animal control was presented. Motion <br />by Wilharber, second by L'Allier to approve contract with <br />MAPSI for animal control in 1983, motion carried. Letter <br />clerk has sent out to animal owners was discussed and con- <br />sensus of council to send letter to all remaining residents <br />in Centerville so that they are aware of our contract with <br />MAPSI and ordinance which is in force. <br /> <br />Discussion on J.2 beer permits issued in the city during <br />the summer season. Motion by Zimny, second by L'Allier <br />to request City Attorney draft a proposal, resolution or <br />amendment to Ordinance #11 relative to issuance of 3.2 beer <br />permits for type of organization, number of permits to be <br />issued during the year with inclusion of the dram shop <br />liquor license liability insurance for review by the City <br />Council, motion carried. <br /> <br />Debbie Dykema from Twin Lakes Pavilion appeared before council <br />for discussion of problems incurred on the 4th and 5th of <br />March and ways to alleviate them. <br /> <br />Letter from A.L.S. Properties was discussed concerning <br />Futura Village Development. Mayor is to contact City <br />Attorney for copy of St. Francis ordinance on manufactured <br />home districts for review by P & Z along witp the Cottage <br />Grove ordinance. <br /> <br />Amendment to Ordinance #JO was presented for approval. <br />Amendment would increase the per unit utility sewer charge <br />from $6.00 monthly to $9.00 monthly, effective with the April <br />1st billing which is for the previous three month period or <br />1st quarter, 198J. Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny <br />to increase the annual sewer charge per unit from $6.00 <br />a month; $18.00 quarter; $72.00 annual rate to $9.00 a <br />month; $27.00 quarter; $108.00 annual rate, effective April <br />1st, 198J for first quarter 198J billing, motion carried. <br />Copy of amendment to Ordinance #30 is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes. <br />
