<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, March <br />9, 1983 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 pm. Present were I L'Allier, Baumann, Wilharber <br />and Zimny. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Baumann to approve minutes of <br />February 23, 1983 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS I Condition of roads, canadian <br />thistle on Gardner property behind homes on Mill Road, dog <br />problem on Mound Trail and excessive traffic problem last <br />weekend on Peltier Lake Drive. The matter of traffic on <br />Peltier Lake Drive last weekend was discussed further. Coun- <br />cilman Zimny advised council of the parking problem, damage <br />done to property by vehicles and three wheelers last weekend <br />because of the number of people at the Twin Lakes Pavilion. <br />Clerk was instructed to write letter to Mr. Dykema at Twin <br />Lakes addressing the overflow parking problem, damage done <br />on private property by the people who are in attendance at <br />the Pavilion and the compliance with Fire Marshal's inspection <br />done at the Pavilion on March 7th. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council the manhole problem by the Pavilion has <br />been corrected. <br /> <br />Councilman L'Allier reported that Park & Recreation Committee <br />have recommended putting up cable on north end of parking lot <br />in park area. Council consensus to have either reflective <br />tape or red flags placed on cable to make it visible at all <br />times. Also recommendation was made to place signs advising <br />persons to KEEP OFF OF PARK PROPERTY OR NO PARKING, DO NOT <br />ENTER or NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED. <br /> <br />Communication from MAPSI was discussed. Council consensus <br />was at the present time, this is the only action the City can <br />take seeing that a weekly patrol fee;wonld be excessive. Clerk <br />will contact MAPSI verifying service to the city, as per <br />charges outlined in their letter of March 4th. Clerk was <br />advised to inform animal owners in Centerville of the above <br />service, enclosing copy of our animal ordinance and reprint <br />(if agreeable with the Quad paper personnel) of the editorial <br />appearing in the March 8th issue of the Quad paper entitled <br />PET CONTROL. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Hubinger from Beulke Agency appeared before council <br />to answer questions on his letter of February 15. #1 of letter <br />is favorable; #2 LIQUOR LIABILITY DRAM SHOP - no opinion from <br />the attorney general's office as yet and Mr. Hubinger will <br />advise on this as soon as he receives an interpretation; #3 <br />no decision; #4 - will be taken care of with fire chief. <br />
