<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville <br />held their regular meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 1984 in <br />City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at <br />7100 PM. Present were: Ayers, Baumann, Wilharber and Zimny. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Baumann to approve minutes <br />of January 25, 1984 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaint on softball tournament <br />held on Centerville Lake on Saturday and Sunday, February 4 <br />and 5, 1984 concerning the trash left on lake, traffic prob- <br />lems and parking problems. Motion by Ayers, second by Zimny <br />to write letter to Winter Carnival Committee concerning the <br />problems Centerville incurred because of this tournament, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on Community Development Grant monies that Centerville <br />should be receiving from Anoka County for '84-86. Clerk is to <br />check with either Brian Kranz of Lexington or Craig Rapp of <br />Circle Pines to find out their views on the program, if they <br />believe the funds will be available for the full three year <br />period and what assurances they have from the County on the <br />funding period. Motion by Ayers, second by Zimny to contribute <br />$400. of the City of Centerville's funding portion of CDG <br />funds, if possible, motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to appoint Glenn Carpenter <br />of 7235 Mill Road to the 509 Task Force to serve with Michael <br />Ayers as Centerville representatives, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion held on amending the Centerville Relief Association <br />by-laws. Art Mohler advised council on Relief Association <br />meeting held on January 25 in reference to amending Article <br />6, Section 3 - AMOUNT OF PENSION. The relief association is <br />suggesting the figure for retirement benefits be increased <br />from $50. to $90 for each year of approved service. Motion <br />by Baumann, second by Wilharber to amend Article 6, Section <br />3 to read as follows: "The amount paid as a retirement benefit <br />shall be ninety dollars ($90) for each year of approved <br />service. The total amount of the retirement pension shall be <br />based on the rate in effect at the time of retirement from <br />the Centerville Fire Department. No interest shall be paid <br />on a retirement pension by the CFRA" , motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Zimny to renew special use permit <br />for Mr. Bernard Henrich, 6945 Centerville Road dated 5-11-8), <br />motion carried. Permit will expire 12-Jl-84. <br /> <br />Discussion on Joint Powers Agreement between Lino Lakes, <br />Circle Pines and Centerville. <br /> <br />Councilman Baumann briefed council on P & Z meeting on Feb. <br />7 concerning public hearing which will be held on February <br />28 at 7100 PM proposing to amend Ordinance #4, Table B <br />regarding lot size change. <br />
