<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville <br />held their regular meeting on Wednesday, January 25, 1984 in <br />City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. <br />Present were Ayers, Baumann, Wilharber and Zimny. <br /> <br />Randy Schumacher, City Administrator for the City of Lino Lakes <br />appeared before council for discussion on the Community Develop- <br />ment Grant program. Discussion was on combining funds of Spring <br />Lake Park, Circle Pines, Lino Lakes, Lexington and Centerville <br />and the cities would II take turns" with the monies available to <br />them for a specific project. Centerville's allotment would be <br />approximately $4,000. or $12,000. for 1984, '85 and '86. No <br />decision made at this time, will consider matter at February <br />8th.meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Zimny, second by Ayers to adjourn meeting in order to <br />hold public hearing on Revenue Sharing funds, motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Hearing on Revenue Sharing Funds called to order at <br />7:20 pm. Public hearing is held for city to designate the <br />use of their revenue sharing funds for Entitlement Period #15 <br />the amount being $4,596.00. Motion by Wilharher, second by <br />Baumann to purchase a snow blower in the amount of $800. for <br />use by the city and/or park related activities and the remainder <br />to be applied against the police contract fee, motion carried. <br />Hearing adjourned. <br /> <br />Regular meeting reconvened at 7135 PM. Motion by Baumann, <br />second by Wilharber to approve minutes of January 11, 1984 <br />meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Discussion on skating rink-, will <br />be opening warming house at 3:30 in the afternoon without monitor <br />supervision, Harvey to fix lock on warming house, clerk had <br />complaint with Circulating Pines on the coverage of January 11 <br />meeting minutes. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: Item #1 - no reply from Lino Lakes on the 21st <br />Street improvement. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Baumann to appoint Michael <br />Ayers to the Citizen 509 Task Force Committee of Rice Creek <br />Watershed District, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor suggested writing our County Commissioner to see if she <br />can assist the city in getting a MEED employee. <br /> <br />The Joint Powers Agreement was discussed and council was briefed <br />on the meeting held on Saturday, January 14 at Lino Lakes <br />covering same. Motion by Baumann, second by Zimny to adopt <br />Resolution stating the City of Centerville supports the idea <br />of a Joint Powers Agreement between the cities of Lino Lakes, <br />Circle Pines and Centerville for a combined fire district, <br />motion carried. Copy of Resolution is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes. <br />
