<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 26, 1984 in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Ayers, Baumann, <br />Zimny, Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Wilharber to approve the minutes <br />of the September 12, 1984 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Resident complaint received on trash <br />left from the softball tournaments at Twin Lakes. Clerk will <br />deliver a letter to Twin Lakes requesting this be corrected at <br />their next tournament. <br /> <br />, <br />Barb Scribner presented the Council with a petition requesting <br />road repairs and maintenance of Centerville streets - specifically <br />Mill Road and Peltier Lake Drive. Residents in the audience <br />expressed their feelings on this matter: <br />Art Mohler Kathy Welk <br />Gregory Bernier Val Carpenter <br />Joe Pelton Bill Svetin <br />Carol Pelton Dick Robischon <br />Maureen Aslesen Barb Scribner <br />A citizens committee was formed to research alternatives and help <br />solve the problem. Reporter present apologized and will be more <br />careful in the future. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: Jeff Nottum presented his request for a variance. <br />Motion by Zimny, second by Ayers to grant an 8" building variance <br />to Mr. Nottum, motion carried. <br /> <br />Brad Gulsvig reported back to the council on the progress of <br />solving the drainage problems on Mill Road. Residents will <br />solve the problem on their own without further assistance from <br />the City. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS. Motion by Ayers, second by Wilharber to approve <br />the wording of the general referendum as follows: "The City of <br />Centerville has issued special licenses to on-sale liquor <br />establishments for the service of alcoholic beverages on Sunday <br />between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 12:00 Midnight. Shall the <br />City of Centerville issue special licenses to on-sale liquor <br />establishments to permit the serving of intoxicating liquor <br />between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 12:00 Midnight on Sunday <br />in conjunction with the serving of food provided that the <br />licensee establishment is in conformity with the Minnesota Clean <br />Indoor Air Act?: motion carried. <br />
