<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 12, 1984 in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 8:05 PM. Present: Ayers, Baumann, <br />Zimny, Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Baumann to approve the minutes <br />of the August 22 , 1984 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND QOMPLAINTS - None <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS - Discussmn with Gunnar Pettersen on inspection <br />procedures, Royal Meadows valuations, and Rehbein/Carpenter <br />dumping situation. Clerk will check with the County on <br />dumping concrete. Gunnar will check on valuations of Royal <br />Meadows with the developer. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Wilharber to include the question <br />of allowing liquor establishments to open at 10:00 AM on <br />Sunday for business on a ballot at the General Election, <br />Baumann opposed, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk will send letter to Gulsvig and Hanson to update the <br />council on Mill Road drainage problems at the next council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Residents agree to solve their own drainage problems on <br />Mound Trail. <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Ayers to allow the City of <br />Centerville to enter into the drainage easement agreement <br />with Robert J. & Delorse M. Houle and Howard E. & Vernette <br />E. H~e, motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Zimny to allow the City of <br />Centerville to issue a Special Use Permit to MCI/Cellcom <br />Cellular, motion carried. <br /> <br />No action is necessary on the cable newsletter. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS. Motion by Wilharber, second by Baumann to <br />grant a variance per section 19 of ordinance #41, to allow <br />a J.2 beer permit for the Centerville Lion's Club's softball <br />tournament on September 15 & 16, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion of Jeff Nottum's request for variance. Jeff will <br />pursue his plans with the Building Inspector to determ.ine if <br />a variance is actually needed. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Des Englund will handle the issue of firemen on <br />the Fire Dept. with beards. <br /> <br />The City property on 20th & Cedar will be open for residents to <br />bring brush and lumber for burning on 9-22-84 & 9-29-84 from. <br />9 to 12 noon. Harvey will police the area during these hours, <br />Leon will contact someone to push it into a pile, and the Fire <br />Dept. will burn it. <br />
