<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />August 8, 1984 in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting <br />to order at 7:05 P.M. Present: Ayers, Baumann, Wilharber, <br />Zimny. _ <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Ayers to approve the minutes of <br />the July 22, 1984 meeting, with the change of the public hearing <br />date from August 8, 1984 to August 22, 1984, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Clerk received request for two more <br />speed limit signs on Centerville Road, and will check with the <br />County on it. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: Motion by Ayers, second by Baumann to table the <br />Leibel fence approval until they get the written approval from <br />the St. Paul Water Dept., North~ern Bell, Northern States <br />Power, and Anoka County saying access to this area through the <br />gate is acceptable. <br /> <br />Engineer presented three alternatives and their costs to solve <br />drainage problems on Mill Road. Several members of the audience <br />expressed their feelings on this matter: <br /> <br />Brad & Lynn Gulsvig, 7246 Mill Road <br />y &.Marty & Maureen Aslesen, 7232 Mill Road <br />Leo Hensel, 7136 Main Street <br />Glenn & Val Carpenter, 7235 Mill Road <br /> <br />Glenn Carpenter, 7235 Mill Road went on record as objecting to <br />any water being moved west to the edge of Mill Road. Brad <br />Gulsvig will contact the Gardner Brothers; Gulsvig, Hason, and <br />Gardner Brothers will pursue the problem on their own. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Baumann to table discussion of <br />drainage alternatives on Mill Road until September 12 meeting, <br />at which time Gulsvig will give the status, motion carried. <br /> <br />Gardner Brothers presented their view of the drainage problems on <br />Mill Road and will work with Gulsvig and Hanson to try to work <br />out a solution. <br /> <br />Engineer presented two alternatives an their costs to solve <br />drainage problems on MourtQ,Trail.Several members of the audience <br />expressed their feelings on the matter. <br /> <br />Leo Hensel, 7136 Main Street <br />John Fitzgerald, 1355 Mound Trail <br />Carol Harvieux, 1369 Mound Trail <br />Louis Thill, 1385 Mound Trail <br />Gerald LeTendre, 1397 Mound Trail <br />Ted Gonsior, 1343 Mound Trail <br /> <br />Motion by Baumann, second by Wilharber to table discussion <br />of drainage alternatives_on Mound Trail until September 12 <br />meeting, at which time status will be given, motion carried. <br /> <br />Update from Ted Gonsior on progress of Group W cable.
