<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, May 23, 1984 <br />in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at <br />7100 PM. Present were: Ayers, Baumann, Wilharber and Zimny. <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to approve the minutes of <br />the May 9, 1984 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Frank Zimny advised the council o~ <br />a washout problem on Brian Drive. Des Englund is checking <br />into getting a culvert and aprons to correct the problem. <br /> <br />APPEARANCE OF MARGARET LANGFELD, COUNTY COMMISSIONER: Dis- <br />cussion on fishing in ~ront o~ Pavilion and along County <br />Road 14. Members of the audience expressed their feelings <br />on this matter: <br />Debbie Dykema, Twin Lakes Pavilion <br />Leo Hensel, 7136 Main Street <br />Grace Stella, 1321 Mound Trail <br />Mrs. Langfeld will do the following and get back to the <br />council with the outcome: <br />-Address the garbage problem <br />-Check with the County Attorney on the possibility <br />of having no fishing in that area <br />-Check with the Park Director and Highway Engineer <br />on the possibility of developing a new parking <br />area across from Mound Trail with a path to the <br />fiShing area away from the road. <br />-Check on en~orcement of a fishing ban <br />Discussion on Anoka County Park protection. Mrs. Langfeld <br />will get back to us with more information. <br /> <br />OLD BUSiNESS: <br /> <br />Discussion on street repairs. Mayor L'Allier presented bid <br />from Melroe Bobcat. Mayor will check to see if they have a <br />roller. Clerk will check with Schifsky and Midwast Asphalt <br />on volume rate for hot asphalt mix. Will start repairs on <br />Center Street. <br /> <br />Discussion on Leibel fence. Fra~k Zimny will get estimate <br />on fence. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Police protection meeting is set for Wednesday, May 30, 1984 <br />at 7:00 PM. Clerk will check with the Linn Lakes City Council <br />and the police task force for representatives at the meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk will send a letter to Mrs. Langfeld recapping our <br />discussion, thanking her for her attendance, and advising <br />her of the need for restroom facilities for the fishermen, <br />and the drainage problem at the Twin Lakes Pavilion. <br /> <br />Clerk will write Mr. Craig Rapp advising him our fire truck <br />is repaired, therefore we won't need theirs and thank him. <br />
