<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />page ten <br />September 14, 1988 <br /> <br />Control Building; the amount earned 1s $894.00; this <br />payment will be made contingent upon the contractor <br />signing the payment estimate; <br />-Ro-So Contracting, for work completed from June 25, 1988 to <br />September 13, 1988 on the electrical and mechanical <br />work; the amount earned is $5,903.75; the payment will <br />be made contingent upon the contractor signing the pay <br />estimate; <br />Per the City Engineer recommendation the following payments for <br />Municipal Water Improvement #87-3 are also approved to be made: <br />-LTP Enterprises for well pump, controls and Rank Add-a- <br />Phase in the amount of $20,700; <br />-Layne Minnesota Company for chemical feed equipment in the <br />amount of $2,200; this amount reflects a deletion of <br />sales tax and a deduction of $75.00 for the <br />substitution of a hand transfer pump for the proposed <br />electric transfer pump from the original bill; City <br />Clerk will send a letter of explanation with the bill; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann to approve Bill Bruen, <br />Centennial Fire District Chairperson to preside as the <br />Chairperson at the Joint Centerville City Council and Lino Lakes <br />City Council meeting to discuss Station #3, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie that per the recommendation <br />of the Planning and Zoning Commission, a variance to Ordinance #4 <br />will be granted to the eight remaining undeveloped lots on the <br />platted Royal Meadows development; contingent upon the houses <br />being place far enough to one side to provide adequate drive in <br />space; justification being that the lots on the Royal Meadows <br />development are zoned R4 Single Family Manufactured which <br />allows a lot 60 feet wide and 7,500 square feet, the City Council <br />recognizes that there may be difficulties in facilitating <br />attached garages on said lots, and that one of the original <br />purposes of the approval of Royal Meadows was to encourage low <br />and moderate income housing, the additional cost of an attached <br />garage could prohibit some low income buyers, and that it would <br />be a hardship to the developer as he has marketed the homes as <br />lower income housing; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to direct the City Clerk to <br />contact the paper to advertise for a Light Rail Transit <br />representative for the City of Centerville, this will also be put <br />on the City cable channel, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor L~Allier requested that the minutes read that the Quad <br />Press reporter apologized for not getting the date of the August <br />
