July 13, 1988 ') ) I wish to express a complaint on procedures used in supervizing construction surrounding our home on Mill Road. After ~orking with our engineer technician and different supervisors a nd engineer from Harstad project (Centerville Heights) over a time span of approximately 2 years, which involved my husband and myself moving 16 trees from Fall 1981 - May 1988, ye h~d a bulldozer come through the . lVUA.~dill'J l ~ tJ~ 7 . . .. back of our lot along the North s~d~and destroy 2 trees ( Exh~b~t A and BJ and damaging 4 others. I was given NO warning. I was at sink doing dishes and if I hadn't run out screaming,r am sure we would have lost all our trees. I lV.ould like to give you some tthistorytt of these trees. When we moved out here, almost 8 years ago, there were no property pins on our north bounda.ry. rIa "guesstimated" where our boundary was and pl~ted seedlings. We knew then we may need to move some of them in future. Well last fall when t he surveyors were out and I believe it was a technician for Harstad, I expressed my ooncern for our trees. They showed me where the road was . coming through and suggested we move the first rOl-T. 1tlhich I did. -J We continued questioning our engineer technician and staff from Harstad project. In early spring Da~e and Brian Johnson informed us the two corner trees by Mill and where new road is coming through would have to be moved as they were going to bring up elevation at that corner. We did again. I even mentioned to Tammy in April when I had some questions on our back drainage swa1e that if she heard any talk that are trees needed to be moved, let us k-now as I was .suspicious of what we were being told. Nothing more was said to us until this incident and when I ran up the road to get Dave, who ~as superv.izing a pr~ject at 1200 Mill Road, he said he viould come down.
