CC Meetins Minutes
Page six
October 26, 1988

with a joint recommendation; a copy of the propoBed City
Improvement Policy with the proposed amendments will also be Bent
to Carolyn Drude, Municipal Financial Advisor for comment, motion
carried unanimously.

Motion by Fritchie, second by Burgstahler that due to the type of
material required for the proposed Development Guide and the cost
of putting together such a tool, the City staff is directed to
prepare a draft Centerville Development Guide, using the
Lakeville Development Guide as a model; the draft will be routed
through the City Attorney, City Engineer, City Planner, Building
Inspector, Municipal Advisor, Planning and Zoning Commission,
Park and Recreation Committee, and Centerville Economic
Development Task Force for review and comment, motion carried
unanimously.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Fritchie that the City will not
set policy on snow plowing unaccepted streets in new developments
at this time;. the request to plow said streets will be looked at
per petition of the individual developer, motion carried
unanimously.

It was noted that directional signs are not placed on the
entrances and exit of the Centerville Plaza. Clerk will write to
the developer to remind him of this commitment.

Council member Burgstahler advised that some residents have asked
that the water level on the ponds on Centerville Heights be
raised so that current residents may use them for skating in the
winter months. It appeared that the consensus was that if
someone fell through the ice on one of the ponds, it could be
argued that this was considered a City sanctioned activity if the
water levels were raised for this purpose. It was felt that
other areas of town may make similar requests on other ponding
areas. It was noted that new skating facilities have been
constructed at Central Park and the City should encourage it's
use. Some Council members noted that if the Park and Recreation
Committee were to recommend that such designation be made, it is
possible that this item could be reconsidered.

PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS
Council member Wilharber advised that residents have complained
that scaffolding has been up on the radio tower for at least six
months and that it is an eyesore. Clerk will have the Building
Inspector check on this.

Wilharber advised that Dennis
offered to volunteer time
channe 1 .

Zerwas, 6882 Centerville Road has
to put information on the Cable
