<br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />April 24, 1985 at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Robischon, Zimny, <br />Wilharber. Absent: Ayers. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to approve the minutes <br />of the April 10, 1985 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS. <br /> <br />Clerk will contact County regarding dead grass on the <br />boulevard along County Road 14 east of 20th avenue. <br /> <br />Harvey will check manholes at Royal Meadows to see if plugged. <br />They have been backing up. <br /> <br />Discussion on condition of roads. Members of the audience <br />expressed their opinion. <br />Gregg Pierce - 1745 Center Street <br />Joe Berscheid - 1744 Center Street <br />Jeff Daa's - 1737 Center Street <br />Des Englund estimated $13,000 for asphalt alone on Mill Road, <br />Centerville Road, and Peltier Lake Drive. He didn't check <br />Center Street. <br /> <br />Art Mohler has been discussing problem with contractor who <br />suggests using a matt with asphalt over it. Is willing to <br />come out free of charge and take a look at our road situation. <br />May be able to work with the City on repairing the roads over <br />4 - 5 year period. Art will have contractor come and take a <br />look next week. <br /> <br />Harvey will make necessary repairs on Center Street and <br />Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Appearance of Police Chief Dean Campbell. Mention by <br />Wilharber of officers speeding within the City limits. Chief <br />Campbell will check into it. Mention by Robischon of <br />excessive parking at home on Main Street and Shad Avenue. <br />Chief Campbell will also check into that situation. Chief <br />Campbell will be glad to meet with the council on a <br />monthly basis either personally or have ~ representative <br />in his place. Mention by Wilharber of the fine job the <br />police force is doing. <br /> <br />Discussion with Mike Dykema on softball tournaments at <br />Twin Lakes. Mr. Dykema stated that there will be a league <br />game on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, no beer or liquor <br />will be sold on the fields during tournaments, fencing will <br />be used to limit parking, and they will be out policing <br />the fields. <br /> <br />It was the councils understanding that a written memorandum <br />of agreement would be drawn up by Mr. Dykema. Mr. Dykema <br />was not of this understanding. <br /> <br />~- <br />
