<br />(____n <br /> <br />Pursuant to dUe call and notice thereof, the City Council of . <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 1985 <br />at City Hall..Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7:04 P. M. <br />Present: Ayers, Robischon, Zimny, Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Ayers, second by Wilharber to approve the minutes of the <br />March 27, 1985 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />Petitions and Complaints: Discwssion on a new flag for City Hall. <br />Report on White Bear Animal Control. They did patrol on Friday from <br />5:30 A. M. to 7:)0 A.M. and no dogs were seen. Price per hour for <br />scheduled patrolling based upon actual time in service $17.50 per hr. <br />No decision was made on having them patrol again. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: Becky Steven's property was discussed. Attorney Jim <br />Flannery asked for a building permit. At the time she bought the <br />property she felt it was buildable. TIt was' decided to refer this <br />matter to the Planning and Zoning Comission to discuss the possibilty <br />of getting a variance. An application for Variance or Rezoning was <br />filled out by Becky and Lee Stevens to be presented to the P & Z for <br />further discussion. <br /> <br />Discussion on Mill Road. Something more permanent has to be done. <br />Request for proposal for road work should be considered in the near . <br />future. <br /> <br />Discussion on dogs running loose--tabeled for now. <br /> <br />Snow blower--Larry Koch said he will work with the City when they <br />decide to trade or sell the the one they have that doesn't work <br />well for them. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Discussion on Softball tournaments. Mike Dykema feels he can work <br />out any problems concerning Softball tournaments ~ he is made aware <br />of them. Frank Zimny said we should be able to regulate the number <br />of games with a special use permit. Bill Hawkins felt we should <br />deal with it as a non-conforming use with the owner because it was <br />in existance before the ordinance. Mike Ayers asked for a memorandum <br />of agreement with Mike Dykema,and he said he will come to the April 10 <br />meeting with a proposal. Motion by Ayers, second by Robishon to table <br />discussion untill April 10, 1985 meeting. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to accept Park and Recreation <br />by laws including the following amendments. <br />1. There shall be a Committee of 5 citizens approved by the Council. <br />2. Members will be paid at a rate established by the Council for one <br />regular scheduled meeting per month. <br />). Committee will elect a Chairman, Vice Chairman and a Secretary. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: Clerk asked for discussion on Summer Work Program. <br />Clerk will work with Harvey Cartier to make a list of jobs to be <br />done to see if there is a need to hire more than one person. <br />Clerk will cQeck if we pay all or part of the salary. Motion by <br />Zimny, second by Wilharber to table until the April 10th meeting.' <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />~ <br />
