<br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />October 9, 1985 in City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 7-00 P.M. Present_ Ayers, Robischon, <br />Zimny, Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Ayers to accept the minutes <br />of the September 25, 1985 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS. <br />Councilman Ayers mentioned the roads will need more work <br />when the rain stops. Harvey will take care of it. <br /> <br />Mayor L'Allier received complaints on Lake Sanitation pickup <br />trucks speeding. Clerk will contact Lake Sanitation on this <br />matter. <br /> <br />Harvey will check all streets for curbs broken by Group W <br />construction crews. <br /> <br />Councilman Wilharber met with residents at Royal Meadows. <br />Most of their concerns were things the developer needed to <br />deal with. It may be appropriate to have the Building <br />Inspector meet with them ~lso, if they have further problems <br />with itemsthey feel he should be addressing. The Council <br />will wait to hear back from the residents. <br /> <br />Clerk will advise the Rice Creek Watershed District of the <br />dirt being hauled into the flood plain area on Rehbein's <br />property at 6805 - 20th Avenue South. <br /> <br />Clerk will check with the Building Inspector and the Engineer <br />on the dirt East of Shad Avenue and North of Main Street. <br />There is a question as to whether or not this dirt can be <br />removed. <br /> <br />Discussion on ponding area 60uth of Center Street and east <br />of Centerville Road. Members of the audience expressed their <br />opinion on this matter. <br />Harvey Cartier, Director of Public Works <br />Joe Berscheid, 1744 Center Street <br />It was fel t that part of the di tch should be lowered/.to <br />allow the lebel of the pond to drop and let the water flow <br />through the ditches. Clerk will check with the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District and the City Engineer to determine whose <br />pond it is, and if there are any levels that need to be <br />maintained in the pond. <br /> <br />Clerk will check into the forclosed property at 1776 Center <br />Street, to see who the present mortgage holder is and notify <br />them to clean up the property. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS_ <br />Property owner at 1540 Peltier Lake Drive has another dumpster <br />and is making progress on their cleanup. Check again nex~ <br />meeting. <br /> <br />~ <br />
