City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 11, 2009 <br />monthly basis. He commented that they have protection of at least a 110% of City <br />Deposits in place. <br />Mayor Capra reported that the Centennial Lakes Governing Board accepted a reduction <br />of 5% to the 2009 Budget, based on the criteria listed by the Chief of Police. She stated <br />that the main cost savings is in not hiring the additional 17th police officer. <br />City Engineer Statz updated Council on the pond dredging. He stated that the weather <br />turned warm, which made it impossible to continue. Due to road restrictions the <br />equipment had to be moved out and cannot be brought back in until those restrictions are <br />lifted. He reported that the project would begin again in January 2010 or sooner if the <br />weather is cold enough. <br />Councilmember Fehrenbacher reported on the Planning & Zoning meeting he attended. <br />Councilmember Lee reported on the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting. He <br />commented that they are still looking for volunteers for the run and parade in 2009. <br />Mayor Capra noted the US Census is looking for workers in Anoka County. <br />X. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION - (PENDING LITIGATION - 2009 STREET <br />PROJECT) <br />At 7:40 p.m., Mayor Capra recessed the Regular Meeting to Closed Executive Session to <br />discuss pending litigation related to the 2009 Street Project. <br />The meeting was reopened to the public at 7:50 p.m. <br />Mayor Capra reported that the only business considered during the closed session was the <br />discussion with the City Attorney of issues regarding litigation that may result from the <br />adoption of special assessments for the 2009 Street Improvement Project. <br />XL ADJOURNMENT <br />A motion was made by Council member Paar that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Council member Lee, all present voted in favor.
