<br />~ <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />December 10, 1986 at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, <br />Zimny, Wilharber and City Attorney Bill Hawkins. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to accept the minutes <br />of the November 20, 1986 Public Hearing, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Wilharber to accept the minutes <br />of the November 24, 1986 Council Meeting, motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br />PETITI~NS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Petition received from Vickie Woeltge, 1729 Center Street <br />requesting the speed limit be reduced and posted at 20 miles <br />per hour on Center Street. Petition had 25 signatures, 15 <br />are registered voters. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hawkins stated in order to request a reduced <br />speed from the State, a speed study needs to be done by <br />the County Engineer. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to contact the County <br />Engineer to do a speed study on Center Street and Peltier <br />Lake Drive to request the 'state allow ~he City of Centerville <br />to post a 20 mile per hour speed limit on these streets, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Petitiorn also received from Vickie Woeltge, 1729 Center <br />Street requesting road reconstruction plans for Center Street <br />and Mill Road be postponed. There were 33 signatures <br />on the petition from Center Street, 22 were registered <br />voters. There were 38 signatures on the petition from Mill <br />Road, 25 were registered voters. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Discussion on Anoka County Central Communications request <br />that Centerville choose one ambulance service. Centerville <br />presently uses Health Central on the north side of County <br />Road 14 and District Memorial on the south side of county <br />road 14. The State Health Department lists both services <br />for Centerville. <br /> <br />As of December 15, 1986, District Memorial will have a <br />satellite ambulance base at the Lino Lakes Fire Hall 24 <br />hours a day, 7 days a week. <br /> <br />Joe Prondzinski, District Memorial Hospital and Chuck Jacky, <br />Anoka County Central Communications were present to answer <br />any questions. <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Zimny to approve District <br />Memorial Hospital as the ambulance service for Centerville, <br />Wilharber - aye, Zimny - aye, Fritchie - aye, L'Allier - aye, <br />Robischon - abstain, motion carried. <br />
